Banqueting House, Whitehall, Westminster, London

Specially created for royal entertaining in 1622, Banqueting House has dazzled and impressed guests with its sheer scale and beauty for centuries. Today couples can walk in the footsteps of royalty and say their nuptials beneath Rubens’ great masterpiece in the magnificent Main Hall or opt to celebrate in the wonderfully vaulted Undercroft where Stuart Kings once dined and danced.

The Main Hall
A banqueting hall purpose built for entertaining – the Main Hall is truly a site to behold. With Rubens’ magnificent painted ceiling, glittering chandeliers and perfect proportions it provides the most stunning backdrop for your celebration. This impressive and versatile space can accommodate up to 400 guests for a civil ceremony and 300 for dinner and dancing.

The Undercroft
Banqueting House’s atmospheric Undercroft is also licensed for weddings and civil partnerships and can accommodate up to 150 for a ceremony and 380 for a reception. Formerly used by the Stuart monarchs for great revelries, its low ceilings and arches create a fabulously relaxed and ambient space.
