Bickleigh Castle is truly a feast for the senses: our 14th Century castle nestles in a valley with 30 acres of lush green land stretching out around it.
The River Exe runs through the land offering you the chance to fish or simply sit back and listen as the river meanders towards the sea.
Our Chapel was built in 600 A.D. and is in the Doomsday book. Guests are accommodated in our lovely cottage rooms which surround the central Castle courtyard.
Bickleigh Castle is one of the few venues in England where we invite you to enjoy the exclusive use of the Castle and cottages from the day before your wedding until the day after.
From the moment you and your guests arrive at Bickleigh Castle, we will do our utmost to ensure that the care and service given is indicative of the elegant surroundings in and around the Castle.
The setting is every bit a film set, exceptionally romantic and ideal for your wedding reception.
Our 13th century Great Hall is licensed for Civil Wedding Ceremonies and Civil Partnership Ceremonies and our 6th century chapel is the oldest chapel in Devon and is the ideal setting for your blessing service.
